✨ Catwalk Confirmation | Forbidden Fruit ✨
At THE LONDON TEXTILE FAIR, our trend forecasts are created months before the international catwalks take place. Our Catwalk Confirmation series looks back at how the ideas explored in our Trendbooks are later reflected in couture and ready-to-wear collections.
We're not claiming these collections as our own—rather, they demonstrate that we're all responding to the same creative zeitgeist. Each designer interprets these themes through their own unique vision, proving how a trend can evolve while remaining true to a brand's identity.
This week's trend is Forbidden Fruit 🍎
Luxurious velvets and flowing silks set the scene, enriched by deep jewel tones and radiant gold accents. Draped silhouettes, provocative cuts and an air of mystery evoke a modern-day bacchanalia—celebrating beauty, desire and unapologetic confidence with timeless elegance.

CATWALK CONFIRMATION | LES FAUVES
From forecast to runway.
First featured in the TLTF Trendbook – September 2025, Les Fauves is now reflected across recent couture and ready-to-wear collections.
This bold trend embraces contrast and exaggeration: surfaces are ultra-smooth or ultra-textured, shapes are extreme and bulbous, with a hint of surrealism and a touch of the circus. Ruffles, expressive prints, faux fur and statement trims are amplified to create playful yet dramatic silhouettes.
While every designer has interpreted these ideas through the identity of their own brand, the shared creative direction is unmistakable. It's always exciting to see concepts first explored in our Trendbook reappear on the international catwalks.

A look back at the trends we forecast over the past few seasons at TLTF, and how they later emerged on couture and ready-to-wear runways.
We’re not claiming to have predicted these collections. Rather, they show that we’re tuned into the same creative zeitgeist shaping the fashion industry. Every designer interprets these ideas through the lens of their own brand, making each expression unique.
What may seem like a bold or unexpected concept when it first appears in our Trendbook is often echoed on the catwalks not long after. It’s always rewarding to see those ideas resonate across the industry.
